ABOUT
MARULAND project is the artist's manifesto, the result of a purposeful search for herself and comprehension of human nature, which Marusya has been conducting for over ten years.
Paintings, graphics, digital art and installations immerse us in the inner world of the artist.
Her microcosm, constructed precisely and carefully and roughly divided into three parts:
PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE
PAST
Depicts those postulates
considered to be unquestionable.
Such as laws of morality and ethics, acceptable boundaries in behavior and measures of good and bad.
The artist examines them through the act of rediscovery.
Taking postulates to zero value, escorting them through personal life experience and eventually creating individual, but solid assessment.

PRESENT
Depicts a journey into one's inner world through several series.
A journey that starts with personal deconstruction and leads to personal wholeness.
It's a variety of artist's self study techniques that were selected from different practices, texts, therapies, experiences and developed into certain guide that anyone can apply to themselves.
FUTURE
Depicts the inner state that the artist strives for.
Since it is useless to imagine the material world of tomorrow, why not to imagine the sensual world?
The only medium humans are capable to create.
As we cannot live without dreams and aspirations anyway, imagining feelings and sensations of future life seems not such a useless idea.
"To those who ever wondered "Who am I?" this project is dedicated.
Sometimes I think it's all of us.
Sometimes I think it's only those who stumbled & crushed into pieces once in a life.
No matter who wonders, that question gives a chance for a long-life, trustful and beautiful friendship to be created.
At least that happened to me."

/ 7 VIRTUES
The idea of the seven virtues is rooted in the Christian cultural tradition almost as much as the idea of the seven deadly sins.
A conventionally accepted list began to be formulated in antiquity and was supplemented in the Middle Ages.

– Fortitude (Fortitudo)
– Justice (Justitia)
– Prudence (Prudentia)
– Temperance (Temperantia)
– Faith (Fides)
– Hope (Spes)
– Love (Caritas)

Translations of the names, interpretations of each of the virtues and ideas about their hierarchy repeatedly changed in different societies.
However, the underlying meaning and the need to address them as an unconditional value remain unchanged today.
The sequence of work on six more canvases is intuitive, as is their content: each of the subjects, characters, colors and fragments reveals itself in the process.
They can only be analyzed after the fact.
